Congressional Medal of Honor Student Works Exhibit
May 23rd – August 2nd
At the Cashier’s House, 419 State Street, Erie

The Congressional Medal of Honor exhibit opened officially May 23rd to a very excited group of students, teachers and school administrators. Featuring student works from East High School, Wattsburg Elementary Center, Strong Vincent High School and others, the display is just one part of the Congressional Medal of Honor Project. The project is a collaboration between the School District of the City of Erie and the Wattsburg Area School District. Teachers, parents and students are working to create curriculum for national distribution, which teaches students about courage, honor and the human experience.

The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. Generally presented to its recipient by the President of the United States of America in the name of Congress, it is often called the Congressional Medal of Honor. To learn more about the Congressional Medal of Honor visit www.cmohs.org.
